Our Beliefs

We believe in the followings

THE BIBLE
We believe in the divine inspiration and authority of the Holy Scripture that Bible is infallible in its declarations, final in its authority, all- sufficient in its provisions and comprehensive in its sufficiency 2Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21.

THE ONE TRUE GOD
We believe in the existence of the one true God, Elohim, maker of the whole Universe, indefinable, but revealed as Triune God- Father, Son and Holy Spirit. One in nature, essence and attributes, Omnipresence, Omniscient, Omnipotent. Gen. 1:1; Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19; 2 Corinthins 13:14.

We believe that “all men have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and are subject to eternal punishment. Gen 3:1-19; Isaiah 53:6; Act.2:38; 17:30.

THE SAVIOUR
We believe man’s need of a savior has been met in the person of Jesus Christ, because of His deity, Virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, resurrection and ascension. His abiding intercession and second coming. John 8:46; 14:30; Col 1:15; 2 Corinthian 5:19; Roman 3:23; Act 2:26; Phil.2:9-11; 1 Thess 4:16-17; Rev.22:2.

REPENTANCE, JUSTIFICATION AND SANCTIFICATION.
We believe all men have to repent of their sinful nature, confess their sins before God, and believe on the vicarious death of Christ Jesus before they can be justified before God. We believe in the sanctification of the believer through the working of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer and God’s gift of Eternal life to the believer. Acts 2:38, Luke 15:7 Roman 4:25. 1Thess 4:3.

THE SACRAMENTS (ORDINANCES- BAPTISM AND THE LORD SUPPER)
We believe in the sacrament of baptism by immersion on the clear testimony of a convert who has attained a responsible age of 13 years- Luke 3:21-22; Matt 28:19; Mark 16:16. It must be made clear that infants and Children are not baptized but one dedicated to the Lord- Luke 2:22, 24, & 34; Mark 10:16.

We believe in the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper which should be partaken by all members who are in full fellowship. Luke 22:19-20; Matthew 26:21-29; Acts 20:7.

BAPTISM, GIFTS AND FRUIT OF THE HOLY SIRIT.
We believe that Baptism in the Holy Spirit with tongues speaking as one of the evidence is for believers with signs following, also the operation of the gifts and bearing the fruit of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers - Mark 16:17; Act 2:2-4; 1 Corinthian 12:8-11; Galatians 5:22-23.

THE SECOND COMING AND NEXT LIFE.
We believe in the second coming of Christ as an imminent event and the Resurrection of the dead, both the saved, and the unsaved, they that are saved to the resurrection of life, and the unsaved to the resurrection of damnation- Mark 13:26; Daniel 12:2; John 5:28-29; Act 1:8, 11; 10:42; Rom 2:7-11; 6: 23.

TITHES AND OFFERINGS
We believe in Tithing and offerings towards the cause of carrying forward the kingdom of God. We believe that God blesses a cheerful giver. Gen 14:18-20; 28:20-22; Malachi 3:6-10; Matt 23:23; Acts 20:35; 1 Corin 16:1-3; 2 Cor 9:1; Lev. 27:30-33.

DIVINE HEALING
We believe that God’s will to heal is revealed in scriptures. However, we do not oppose medical treatment by qualified medical practitioners. Isaiah 53:4-6; Matt 8:7- 17; Mark 16:18; James 5:14-16; Luke 10:34; Colossians 4:14; 2 Kings 20:7.

RESTITUTION
We believe that a believer restoring his ways needs to especially restore anything in his possession but does not belong to him or her to its rightful owner, act of giving an equivalent for loss or damage. God forgives when we repent but He requires us to make amends to any person we have hurt or wronged. It makes a person pay back just debts, articles, uncover his crimes and confess his lies. Gen. 20:1-18; Prov. 6:30-31; 2Samuel 12:1-6; Luke 19:8-10; John 4:15-16.

HOLINESS
We believe in God’s standard of Holiness whereby the Believer is free from sin, and exalted to holiness of heart and life. We are called into God’s Holiness as in the nature and character of God. Holiness is not optional, it is imperative. Once God is Holy, His people must be holy outwardly and inwardly as well, in actions as well as in thoughts, in feelings and in motives ‘Be ye therefore perfect, even as your father who is in heaven is perfect. Deut l8:l3; Matt.5:48; 1 Thess 4:7-8; Heb 12:14; 2 Corinthians 7:1-2; Act 10:34-35; 1John 2:15-17; Philippians 4:5-8; Isaiah 33:15-17; 1corinthian 3:16-17; Romans 6:6; 1Peter 1:14-16.
